The Backstroke Ledge is the ideal complement to the starting blocks
for backstroke swimming starts. It improves the start push and trajectory
of the swimmer when entering the water. The Backstroke Ledge can be
adjusted to every swimmer¡¯s size. The length can be set to 5 different
positions using a manual rotating system. The Backstroke Ledge
received FINA¡¯s approval during its December 2014 convention in Doha.

FINA regulations require competition pools with overflow on all four
side to have headwalls 30cm higher than the water level,
at the start and turning ends of the pool. For this purpose,
Myrtha Pools has developed removable headwalls, which allow water
overflow on all four sides, and at the same time, provide ideal
support for electronic touch pads, starting blocks and lane line anchors.
Our Removable Headwall is a sturdy, stainless-steel structure and
includes a supporting framework for the starting blocks.
The full length of the headwall is composed of connected,
modular sections that sit one section per lane.
The sections are secured by both a front support, fixed to an anchor
plate inserted into the overflow gutter, and a back support, anchored
to the pool deck, For safety and longevity, the steel structure,
including grids and corner-pieces, are coated in anti-slip ABS laminate
that is stabilized to resist damage from UV rays.
